Who is Mastoras

My name is Efthymis, I am also known as "Mastoras". Together we play official Wizards of the Coast adventures of the world's most popular role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons.

My introduction to Dungeons and Dragons started in high school playing with friends. The fascination with medieval fantasy worlds, such as Tolkien and Middle-earth and Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melniboné, was incomparably sparked by playing Dungeons and Dragons, both as a storyteller and as a player.

The idea to turn Dungeons and Dragons into a professional hobby came about while dealing with a serious injury. It was as if I had a wish spell at my disposal so that I could work from home , dedicating time to my favorite hobby using (at the time) the online platform of Roll20. Although I fully recovered, the wish stayed and took root.

I decided to specialise in the latest official version of the game rules. Before I ran the first subscription game online via roll20, I set a goal to get 1000 hours of pure flight time with the platform, as much as an aircraft pilot needs, and so I did. Today I have more than 5000 hours of experience running games on the platform, having invested over 4500€ in it so that players both online and offline have all the official options.

At the same time I dedicated myself to becoming an expert on the Forgotten Realms, so I could bring an authentic atmosphere and experience to the most popular campaign setting in D&D. Hundreds of hours of lore videos concerning the world and its history became a habit, along with dozens of books by one of the best known fiction writers in the Forgotten Realms,such as R.A. Salvatore and Ed Greenwood.

Today, as a Dungeon Master of official stories I have already completed "Lost Mine of Phandelver", "Storm King's Thunder", "Out of the Abyss", "Tyranny of Dragons", "Dragon of Icespire Peak", "Baldurs Gate:Descent into Avernus", "Candlekeep Mysteries", "Tomb of Annihilation" and "Waterdeep:Dragon Heist". I'm running the campaigns in chronological order of the Forgotten Realms, and among them I should mention some campaigns that the teams came to an inglorious end... "Curse of Stradh" and "Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden" . At the time of this writing I am running five more campaigns, .
